How We Treat Others – Repetition of Folly

Give us this day our daily bread.
And forgive us our trespasses,
as we forgive those who trespass against us.
And lead us not into temptation;
but deliver us from evil.

Here is an excerpt from a prayer used in Christendom, many say it, how many enact it?  It is not uncommon for people to treat others like shit and continue doing so. So, they trespass against others, yet get upset when they are trespassed against. It is un-balanced. When the karmic boomerang returns, it is not fair. God is a bastard.

If we isolate a being and then gossip about them we may imagine that gossiping about them is OK, now that they are isolated. People do not seem to appreciate that asking for and engaging in, the gossip about another being is bullying. Nor do they seem to understand that when a whole bunch of people stalk and spy on another being, that is bullying also. The folly repeats itself, as if that is ever going to solve anything at all. It is all rather tawdry and pathetic. We can treat others like animals, exhibits in a zoo. Yet somehow, we can justify this to ourselves, because we are clever and cunning and brave. We are in the right. They deserve somehow, to be talked and whispered about.

And so, the folly repeats, ad infinitum.

Hmnn… what a truly enlightened species we are.
